3.2 Information we generate about you

  • Your unique payment reference codes
  • Your class attendance records (recorded when staff scan your QR membership card)
  • Your subscription history and plan choices
  • Records of complimentary or discount codes used
  • Conversations you have with Chimwemwe, our AI assistant

3.3 Information we collect automatically

  • Basic device and browser information (browser type, operating system, IP address)
  • Pages visited on our website
  • Anonymous usage statistics

We do not use invasive tracking, advertising trackers, or third-party data brokers.

6. Who We Share It With

  • Our authorised staff and instructors — limited to what they need to do their job
  • Payment service providers — when we move to automated payments, regulated providers (e.g. Lenco, Flutterwave) will process payments under their own data protection terms
  • Email service providers — to send transactional and marketing emails (e.g. Resend)
  • Cloud hosting providers — Supabase and Vercel store our database and run our website
  • AI service providers — Anthropic powers Chimwemwe; conversations are processed under Anthropic's enterprise data terms
  • Government authorities — only when legally required (tax authorities, courts, law enforcement)
  • Professional advisers — accountants, lawyers, auditors, bound by their own confidentiality duties

Some of these providers operate servers outside Zambia. When we transfer your data outside Zambia, we ensure they maintain protection standards equivalent to those required by the Data Protection Act, 2021.

We will never share your data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

After these periods, we either securely delete the data or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.

10. Photography and Filming at Events

We sometimes photograph or film our classes, socials, and the festival. These images may be used in our marketing — website, social media, brochures.

  • We will tell you in advance when filming will happen
  • You may opt out by speaking to a staff member or the photographer
  • We will not use a clearly identifiable image of you in marketing if you have asked us not to
  • We will not use images of minors (anyone under 18) without explicit consent from a parent or guardian

If you find a photo of yourself online that you want removed, email us — we will take it down within 7 days.

11. Children

Our services are designed for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us their data without proper consent, contact us and we will delete it.

For minors attending family-friendly festival events, separate guardian consent processes apply.

Our website uses minimal cookies — only those needed to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand basic site usage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
