Cookie Notice
Amazing Dance Academy Last updated: 31 May 2026
The Short Version
We use only the cookies we need to make the website work. We don't sell your data, we don't run ad networks, and we don't follow you around the internet.
What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores when you visit a website. Cookies let websites remember things — like that you're logged in, or what's in your shopping cart — between visits and page loads.
What Cookies We Use
We keep it minimal. Our cookies fall into two categories:
1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the website to work. Without them, you can't log in, stay logged in, or complete a payment. You cannot opt out of these cookies and still use the site.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookies | Keep you logged in as you move between pages | Ends when you close your browser |
| Authentication tokens | Verify it's really you accessing your member account | Up to 30 days |
| Security cookies | Protect against fraud and unauthorised access | Variable |
2. Functional Cookies
These remember your preferences to make the site more useful. They're optional, but turning them off may reduce functionality.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|
| Language preference | Remembers if you've switched language | 1 year |
| Cookie banner choice | Remembers that you've answered the cookie banner | 1 year |
What We Don't Use
We deliberately do not use:
- Advertising cookies. We don't show ads on our site, and we don't help others target you.
- Third-party tracking pixels. No Facebook Pixel, no advertising tags.
- Social media trackers. Our social links go to our pages — no embedded widgets that report back.
- Profiling cookies that build a detailed picture of your behaviour across sites.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool (such as Plausible or a similar service) to understand basic things like how many people visit, which pages are popular, and what country they're visiting from. These tools:
- Don't use cookies, or use only first-party cookies
- Don't collect personally identifiable information
- Don't follow you across the web
If we change analytics providers to something that uses tracking cookies, we will update this Notice and ask for your consent first.
Your Choices
In our cookie banner
When you first visit our website, you'll see a banner asking about cookies. Your choices:
- Accept all — Use the site fully with both necessary and functional cookies.
- Reject non-essential — Use the site with only the strictly necessary cookies. Some preferences may not be remembered, but everything will still work.
In your browser
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- Block all cookies
- Block third-party cookies only
- Delete cookies on each visit
- Be notified when a cookie is being set
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the site — you won't be able to log in or stay logged in. That's a browser limitation, not a choice we made.
If We Change Things
If we ever start using cookies that go beyond what's described here, we will:
- Update this Cookie Notice with a new "Last updated" date
- Show a fresh cookie banner so you can choose again
- Email registered members if the change is significant
