A school built on connection.
Amazing Dance Academy started with two dancers, a handful of students, and a belief that partner dance could bring a city closer together.
We began the way most good things do — small, and a little stubborn. A few people in a borrowed room, learning to move together. Word spread the way rhythm does: one friend bringing another.
Today the Academy teaches Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba to dancers of every level, hosts socials that run late into the night, and stages The Amazing Festival in Livingstone — drawing dancers from across Africa and the world.
But the heart of it hasn't changed. We're still about that first nervous step, and the moment it turns into a dance.
Two dancers, one vision.
“Dance gave me a language before I had the words. We built this so others could find theirs.”
“Every great dancer was once a beginner who refused to give up. We meet you exactly where you are.”
Our values
Rooted, not nostalgic
We honour African heritage without freezing it in the past — modern language, cultural depth.
Connection over performance
We don't chase show-off energy. We talk about meeting, joining, finding rhythm together.
Warmth with discipline
Welcoming to beginners, serious about craft. Never patronising, never stiff.
